Who we are

CutBench Ltd provides software for stone and worktop fabricators to manage quotes, jobs, scheduling, invoices, and related workflows.

Data we collect

Depending on how you use our website and product, we may process:

• Account details — name, email address, password (stored securely), organisation name, and role.
• Business and job data you enter — customers, sites, quotes, jobs, schedules, invoices, messages, files, and similar operational records.
• Technical and usage data — IP address, device/browser information, pages viewed, and product events used to operate and improve the service.
• Support communications — emails or messages you send us.
• Payment and billing details — processed by our payment provider when you subscribe; we do not store full card numbers.

How we use data

We use personal data to:

• Provide, secure, and support the CutBench service.
• Create and manage organisation accounts and user access.
• Send service-related notices (for example security alerts or billing emails).
• Improve the product using aggregated or analytics insights.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Legal bases

We rely on one or more of: performance of a contract (providing the service you signed up for); legitimate interests (securing and improving the product, answering enquiries); consent (optional analytics cookies on the marketing site); and legal obligation where applicable.

Accounting integrations

If your organisation connects an accounting provider (for example Xero, QuickBooks Online, or Sage Business Cloud), we store OAuth credentials needed to keep that connection working. When you send an invoice from CutBench with push enabled, we sync the contact and sales invoice details you choose to push into that ledger, and we may poll payment status so CutBench can stay up to date.

Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. You remain responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to process your customers’ data and to share it with the ledger you connect.

Cookies and analytics

On cutbench.io we use analytics (PostHog, hosted in the EU) to understand how visitors use the site. We ask for cookie consent: accept enables full analytics cookies; decline uses privacy-preserving cookieless tracking only.

The CutBench application may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in and operate the product securely.

Processors and sharing

We use trusted service providers to host infrastructure, send email, run analytics, and process payments. They only process data on our instructions and under appropriate agreements.

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of CutBench, our users, or others.

International transfers

Where data is processed outside the UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses, as required.

Retention

We keep account and organisation data for as long as your organisation uses CutBench and for a reasonable period afterwards (for example backups, dispute resolution, or legal requirements). You may request deletion of your account; some records may be retained where we must do so by law.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time (for example by changing cookie preferences or contacting us).

You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). We encourage you to contact us first so we can help.

Controllers

CutBench Ltd is the controller for account data, billing, website analytics, and how we operate the platform.

When your organisation stores end-customer or job data in CutBench, your organisation is typically the controller of that content. CutBench acts as a processor for that data under our Terms of Service.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be notified in-product or by email where appropriate.
