Cut progress

Workshop steps and QC before fit

The issue

Jobs jump from Cut to Fit with no record that every piece was finished and checked.

Simple workshop steps on the job - start, complete, sign off QC - then the job moves to Fit.

Cut progress on the job - one current step, then QC sign-off

How CutBench helps

Stay in Cut - track the real shop work

Keep one Cut stage on the board. Inside it, show Cutting, Polishing/Edging, QC (or the steps your shop uses). Operators tap one action at a time instead of juggling statuses.

  • Default steps ready to use - rename or reorder in settings
  • Only the current step asks for action
  • Board and Today show mid-step, awaiting QC, or blocked

QC that actually signs the work off

The last step is a short checklist: pieces present, finish and edges checked, ready to fit. Who signed and when is recorded on the job.

Pass QC → Fit. Fail QC → fix it.

Passing QC moves the job to Fit automatically. Failing QC blocks the step and raises an issue so the office sees it without a chase.

Who it helps

Office, workshop, and field

  • Office

See where each Cut job sits in the shop - and that QC was signed before Fit.

  • Workshop

One tap to advance Cutting, Polishing, then QC - no status dropdown dance.

  • Field

Know Fit only opens after the shop has signed the work off.

Don't pay until you've finished your first job

Run a real job from quote to done before you choose a plan. Book a demo if you'd rather walk through it first.
